Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Sure Success, operated by [Sure Success Ltd (or sole trader name)] at [Registered address to be inserted] (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or paying for a subscription, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1. What Sure Success is
Sure Success is an online practice platform for people preparing for the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Investment Advice Diploma and the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, together with the standalone CII R0 units. It provides multiple-choice practice questions, explanations, mock exams and an AI-powered tutor.
2. Definitions
- Account: your registered user profile on Sure Success.
- Content: questions, explanations, AI tutor replies, analytics, and any other material we make available through the service.
- Subscription: a paid plan that unlocks premium features.
- You: the individual who has accepted these Terms.
3. Eligibility and accounts
Sure Success is intended for users aged 18 or over. You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Accounts are personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared.
4. Subscription, renewal and pricing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance at the price displayed at checkout (currently £14.99 per month). Payment is processed by Stripe. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price. We will tell you in advance if the renewal price is changing.
5. Your 14-day cancellation right (digital content)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. Because Sure Success delivers digital content that you can access immediately, you may waive this cancellation right at checkout. If you:
- tick the waiver checkbox and start using the service, you lose the right to cancel once the digital content has been supplied;
- do not tick the waiver, we will start providing the service only after the 14-day window closes, or you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund.
You can always cancel future renewals at any time from your account Profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See the Refund Policy.
6. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the service for your own exam preparation while your account is in good standing. You may not:
- copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, sublicense, scrape, or extract Content in bulk;
- share your login or make the service available to third parties;
- use automated tools to access the service in ways that degrade performance or circumvent rate limits;
- reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from any part of the platform.
7. Intellectual property
The Sure Success platform, brand, and all Content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, database rights and related laws. Third-party trademarks (including CISI, CII, IAD and DipPFS) are the property of their respective owners and are used here only descriptively.
8. AI-generated content and no pass guarantee
Questions and AI tutor replies are produced with the assistance of large language models and reviewed by a qualified subject-matter expert, but they may contain errors. Always cross-reference primary sources (the FCA Handbook, the current qualification syllabus, HMRC guidance and statutory thresholds) before relying on any specific figure or rule.
Sure Success does not guarantee any exam outcome. Whether you pass depends on your preparation, the paper you sit and factors beyond our control. The brand name is not a promise of results.
9. Acceptable use
See the separate Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Privacy
We process personal data in line with the Privacy Notice. By using the service you acknowledge that notice. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookie Policy.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, attempts to abuse the service, or appears to be fraudulent. You may close your account at any time from Profile. Sections that by their nature survive termination (licence restrictions, intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
12. Our liability to you
We do not exclude or limit liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under UK consumer law, including the statutory implied terms of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and that services will be performed with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) £100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data that we could not reasonably have foreseen.
13. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us at support@suresuccess.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within three working days and resolve them within 30 days. For data protection concerns you can also complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will email account holders and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect counts as acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
